What is text-to-subscribe?

Imagine instead of requiring your interested clients to fill out a subscribe form with numerous questions to join your mailing list, they could simply text a keyword to a certain number, reply with their email address, and then automatically be added to your mailing list going forward. How does text-to-subscribe it work?
You provide us a keyword along with the language you would like to use for the initial text message when the recipient sends the keyword, and also the language for the response after they reply with their email address; then we set it up for you. When the recipient subscribes, we collect specific information so that you can segment by who signed up through text-to-subscribe. This lets you observe how many people are utilizing this feature, and allows you to send them targeted mailings.
When recipients subscribe this way, we also offer the ability to send them a hello message to welcome them to your mailing list, or we can send a confirmation message which requires them to confirm through their email address that they do in fact want to be added to the mailing list. The confirmation message is always a good idea because it confirms that a real person is sending the text message and attempting to sign up for your mailing list.
